Activity Based Learning
Accelerate change.
After successful trials in 2019, we are proud to announce we have acquired the rights to deliver a suite of three Activity Based Learning programmes through our partnership with Real Learning Experience.
We have handpicked these programmes for their strengths in accelerating and embedding our enabling people approach in an activity-based setting.
Results in
real-time
Too often there is a significant time gap between demonstrated behaviours and the outcomes of those behaviours, which dilutes learning. So the benefit of an activity-based experiential learning programme (besides being high energy and fun) is that we close this gap. Learning and commitment to change takes place in real-time.
These dynamic programmes provide for real-time reflection on:
What Happened? A chance to reflect on demonstrated behaviours and the outcomes of those behaviours in relation to the activity.
And so? Creating the vital connection between demonstrated behaviours, the outcomes, and how they impact the participants in the ‘real world’.
Now what? An opportunity for participants to make decisions about change by creating hands-on practical strategies they can apply immediately.
Our programmes
Lasseter’s Reef – A Quest for Gold
How to maximise performance with limited resources
Inspired by the Australian legend of Lasseter’s Reef, this highly engaging learning activity sees teams compete in a race across the desert to mine gold while dealing with a challenging environment. As in real life, teams must do specific things to achieve exceptional results.
The powerful debrief helps participants translate ‘lessons from the desert’ into concrete understandings and actions to improve team performance. These include planning, managing limited resources, evaluating alternative strategies, working well as a team, setting clear objectives, dealing with pressure, optimising available information and time, and creating a winning team mindset.
Lost Civilisation of the Olmec
How to build a thriving high-performing culture
The constant pressure to generate results can often impact the way we behave and interact with others, but the quality of our working relationships will have a direct impact on those desired results.
Lost Civilisation of the Olmec will challenge you to succeed in both areas – productivity and relationships – and see first-hand that how you achieve a result is as important as the result itself.
Archipelago – All At Sea
How to positively facilitate change with minimal disruption
Archipelago gives people the tools and strategies they need to respond to the inevitably changing workplace.
Marooned on a series of islands, participants must set about establishing small communities. Just as they become comfortable, everything changes, and they must adapt to those changes in order to meet their objectives.
To do so, they must let go of the past, adapt to new circumstances, learn to work with different people and balance their needs with those of the broader group – all while ensuring that they donʼt lose sight of their goal and delivering on key priorities.
