what are learning teams?

Learning teams are designed to enable human performance and operational resilience. To enable human and operational performance, organisations need to shift from constraining people to 'enabling people. We need to recognise that in the course of normal work, there are changing conditions, for which we need to build adaptive capacity to enable work to go right. Learning teams are a proven method to build human performance adaptive capacity.
In essence, by promoting curiosity and appreciative inquiry, RLT’s harvest valuable knowledge from the people that actually do the work. The process creates rich and insightful data, that supports informed and effective operational management decision making.

With Resilimap® Learning Teams (RLTs), curiosity is raised to support discovery, analysis, and improvement.

what will your learn.

Participants will have the opportunity to engage and immerse themselves in the core concepts and skills. Resilimap® RLT seeks to uncover organisational conditions and constraints, demand and performance expectations and individual/team capability and control. The output assesses capacity, variability and performance capability plus the inherent vulnerabilities. The result is insight and innovation that generates engagement and operational resilience

This course uses experiential learning techniques and provides the facilitators with the skills to set them up for success including:

  • Shifting from investigation to learning

  • A detailed understanding of the process and method

  • Immersion in the fabric for the use of learning from work as done to build operational resilience

learning is a continuous journey.

Following the RLT session, the trainee guide will be invited to complete a draft RLT report, which will then be reviewed and assessed by an Art of Work Resilimap® Learning Team practitioner. Nominated explorers that successfully demonstrate the core capabilities will then be certified as Resilimap Learning Team - Guide Level facilitators.

Facilitators who are looking to undertake more complex learning teams related to major incidents are able to progress to the certified level 3 - Pathfinder online training.

The Art of Work Learning Teams training has been amazing for me personally. I have been interested in understanding more about the concepts and techniques that others in the industry have been trialling, however found it difficult to interpret the academic literature into practice. Art of Work has changed all that. They say one should do what gives you energy, I haven’t been this energised in years. Thanks to Kelvin and Marc
