Resilimap® Learning Team shifts your organisation from blame to learning and improvement.

With Resilimap® Learning Teams (RLTs), curiosity is raised to support discovery, analysis, and improvement.

what are learning teams?

During investigations conducted by most organizations, pre-conceptions and hindsight bias limit the ability to learn.

Generally speaking, the purpose of an investigation is to find error and determine who is responsible, which is often followed by retributive corrective action.Findings like these result in more constraints, procedures, and operational burdens, but do not solve the problem at hand. Current investigations lack sufficient curiosity about work.
The end result is findings that only produce more constraints, procedures, and operational burdens, but do not solve the problem at hand.

Learning teams are designed to enable human performance and operational resilience.
To enable human and operational performance, organisations need to shift from constraining people to 'enabling people.

We need to recognise that in the course of normal work, there are changing conditions, for which we need to build adaptive capacity to enable work to go right. Learning teams are a proven method to build human performance adaptive capacity.

We know it's possible to identify and leverage capacity, variability, conditions, and constraints without pointing fingers or enforcing compliance to heighten performance and build operational resilience.

We're challenging the norm - changing the response from investigation to learning.

the experience

The Art of Work Learning Teams training has been amazing for me personally. I have been interested in understanding more about the concepts and techniques that others in the industry have been trialling, however, I found it difficult to interpret the academic literature into practice. Art of Work has changed all that. They say one should do what gives you energy, I haven’t been this energised in years. Thanks to Kelvin and Marc.

programme structure

programme breakdown

We offer the Resilimap® Learning Team course as a 9-week learning journey, that takes you through the different stages of learning. Week 1 starts with the 3-hour Explorer level master class to take you through the basic concepts and philosophy. This is not a prerequisite for the rest of the 8-week programme consisting of the Guide and Pathfinder levels.
Start an entry-level investigator and emerge after week 8, as a confident, accomplished pathfinder, trained to facilitate and deliver successful RLTs.

This highly interactive and participative program blends individual self-paced learning and reflection with engaging live online group sessions. Each participant will be given access to our interactive platform featuring videos, podcasts, articles and more, to optimise your learning journey.

The program runs over 9 weeks and consists of 9 x 3-hour sessions.
Before each module begins, we will invite you to undertake guided, self-led learning, including a thought-provoking video, podcast, and reading collateral to prepare you for the topics featured in the next module.
